Austria’s storybook ski town. Beyond its famous Hahnenkamm run, Kitzbühel offers cobbled streets, cosy inns and après-ski charm. An intimate town where you're bound to bump into friendly people more than once. This polo event is less showy than St Moritz, but just as elevated.

Each January, the Alpine town of Kitzbühel transforms into the glittering stage of one of the world’s most prestigious winter sporting spectacles, the BENDURA BANK Snow Polo World Cup. From 15–18 January 2026, the tournament returns for its 23rd edition, bringing together 8 international teams and more than 120 thoroughbred horses, set against the dramatic snow-covered peaks of Tyrol.
This extraordinary event began in 2003 with just four teams and an audience of 1,000. Today, it welcomes 15,000 spectators and ranks alongside the greats of winter polo, partnered with elite tournaments in St. Moritz, Miami Beach, Aspen, Baku and beyond. Founded by Reto and Tito Gaudenzi, and still led by Tito, both a celebrated polo professional and organiser; Kitzbühel Polo has become synonymous with high performance and high society.
Guests can expect an exhilarating blend of fast-paced polo matches, après-ski elegance, fine dining and exclusive social gatherings that capture the essence of Alpine luxury. Adding to the excitement, the Kitzbühel Polo Cup, a medium-goal tournament, will take place a week earlier, 8–11 January 2026, offering fans an extended celebration of the sport.
With Bendura Bank AG as its title sponsor since the very beginning, the Snow Polo World Cup continues to embody both heritage and innovation. From its intimate origins to its current status as a global polo highlight, the event stands as a testament to how tradition, passion, and spectacle can converge to create an unforgettable winter experience.
Minerva will be planning a retreat in 2027, so a solo taster experience might tickle your fancy!
