Supperclub Tube

A 1967 Victoria Line carriage reborn as a dining room. Chef Beatriz Maldonado Carreño serves six Latin-inspired courses, weaving stories and flavours into a journey through culture and history.

Hidden beneath the bustle of London lies one of the city’s most original dining experiences: Supperclub.tube. Set inside a lovingly restored 1967 Victoria Line carriage, this immersive supper club has been delighting guests for nearly a decade with a rare combination of history, theatre and gastronomy.

At the heart of the experience is Head Chef Beatriz Maldonado Carreño (Bea). Originally from Bogotá, Colombia, Bea draws on over 20 years of culinary expertise across Colombia and London to bring bold, authentic Latin American flavours to life. Each dish on her six-course tasting menu blends seasonal British ingredients with the vibrancy of Latin cuisine. More than a chef, Bea is a host and storyteller, sharing the cultural heritage and personal memories behind every plate to create a dining journey as soulful as it is delicious.

Since 2018, Nick Atkins has helmed Supperclub.tube, building on his success running The Elmore Jam in Islington. With his flair for hosting and Bea’s culinary vision, the supper club has flourished, transforming the humble tube carriage into a space of elegance three nights a week. Guests step aboard to find the carriage reimagined with tables, linens and fine silverware, a restaurant unlike any other in London.

The venue itself is as much a part of the story as the menu. The 1967 “Driving Motor” carriage, built by Metro-Cammell, once served the Victoria Line, the world’s first fully automatic underground railway. Retaining its original features, from the red cab front to its experimental seating design, the carriage embodies the charm of London’s transport heritage while offering an intimate setting for up to 35 diners.

Supperclub.tube is more than a meal: it is a celebration of culture, history and the joy of shared stories, a unique dining experience where London’s underground past meets Latin America’s culinary soul.
