A rare journey into the artistry of costume design.
Join Minerva for a private visit to Costume Couture: Sixty Years of Cosprop, an extraordinary exhibition celebrating one of the world’s most influential costume houses. From Downton Abbey to A Room with a View and Peaky Blinders, Cosprop’s creations have shaped some of film and television’s most iconic characters.
Founded in 1965 by Oscar and BAFTA-winning designer John Bright, Cosprop is synonymous with meticulous craftsmanship, historical accuracy and the transformative power of clothing. This exhibition reveals the evolution of the atelier through never-before-seen costumes, sketches, archival fabrics and intimate insights from actors and designers.
Experience the magic behind Colin Firth’s Mr Darcy, Maggie Smith’s Dowager Countess and Helena Bonham Carter’s luminous Lucy Honeychurch, garments that shaped performances and defined eras onscreen.
Afterwards, we’ll walk to Cloth, a refined modern restaurant, for dessert and drinks to end the evening on a sweet, stylish note.
