En garde!

This September, Minerva is trying something a little different as we discover the art of fencing during a private lesson exclusively for members.

Designed for complete beginners, our session will introduce us to the fundamentals of this centuries-old sport, from stance and footwork to technique, etiquette and the basic principles of a bout.

Under professional instruction, we’ll learn the foundations together before having the opportunity to put our newfound skills into practice.

You don’t need to be sporty, competitive or have ever picked up a fencing weapon before. As with so many Minerva experiences, the point is simply to try something new in good company.
